Designed to carry Pure Sport equestrian characters like no other in the world side by side, the YXZ1000R SS XT-R engine is built to provide high revving power with flexibility and character that can only be provided by triple inline.
A compact, balanced, balanced DOHC cylinder head, 11.3:1 ratio, and dry-sump lubrication, the SS XT-R YXZ1000R engine offers exceptional power, a thrilling 10,500 rpm redline, and a high-strength internal ready to handle high output demands.
To ensure peak performance on each trip, the YXZ1000R SS XT-R features a ventilated radiator and is mounted at the back. The system not only reduces heat in the cab but stays clean from mud or debris buildup and is designed to channel cold air through radiators at low or high speeds at equally good speeds.

YXZ’s high capacity intake system features a dual air filter—one oily foam, one viscous paper—for maximum airflow to the engine as well as long-lasting filtration for the dirtiest driving environments. The three-to-one high volume exhaust system weighing the weight distribution and is tuned to provide maximum power across the entire rotation range.

On-Command 4WD provides the driver’s primary traction, with 2WD lock mode, 4WD limited-slip, and 4WD full diff selected. The YXZ1000R SS XT-R drivetrain incorporates Yamaha’s proven 4WD On-Command system to cope with the most challenging terrain.

The YXZ1000R SS XT-R has the top shelf FOX® 2.5 Podium® RC2 with adjustable dual-spring-rate crossover. Spring preload, crossover adjustment, high-speed and low-speed compression rebound, and damping—with a massive 16.2-inch front travel and 17.0 inches at the back along with quality, to tuneability, and outstanding travel handling.

The Spherical-joint double A-arms maintain an ideal distance angle and bump response throughout the travel range, and the front and rear sway bars minimize body roll for flatter, more responsive cornering. And under optimized frame geometry, full-frame composite slip plates protect against rocks and debris.
The YXZ1000R SS XT-R installs the Maxxis 29-inch ultra-aggressive large Carnage™ radial tires that offer outstanding traction, durability, and steering precision in the most extreme off-road environments. Cow tire tread is mounted on a highly durable Beadlock rim ready for the toughest terrain conditions.
The YXZ1000R SS XT-R cabin features luxury seats with extra rear seats with extra lateral support and outer shoulder roll, and the cockpit provides a balance of driving confidence with comfort. The shaped floor provides generous legroom while still providing a planted feel, and the driver’s seat and the steering wheel can be adjusted to ensure the perfect fit.
The strong yet lightweight composite suntop keeps the cab cool and fits perfectly with the rakish stripes of the YXZ body.
