Three-Cylinder Engine

Designed to carry Pure Sport equestrian characters like no other in the world side by side, the YXZ1000R SS SE engine is built to provide high revving power with flexibility and character that can only be provided by triple inline. The SS SE YXZ1000R engine offers exceptional power, a thrilling 10,500 rpm red line, and a high-strength internal ready to handle the demands of high output.

To ensure peak performance each trip, the YXZ1000R SS SE has a ventilated radiator and is rear mounted. The system not only reduces heat in the cab but stays clean from mud or debris buildup and is designed to channel cold air through radiators at low or high speeds at equally good speeds.

Five-Speed Sequential Transmission

No one in the side-by-side world can cool the feeling of banging through gears using the Sport Shift SS SE YXZ1000R, a sequential five-speed manual transmission featuring Yamaha Chip Controlled Shift (YCC-S) technology.

The system combines power, durability and traditional manual transmission efficiency with an advanced automatic clutch system controlled with a sporty paddle shifter mounted to the steering column. Optimized gearing gives the YXZ1000R SS SE more flexibility to handle almost any type of trail, from wide-open desert trails to first gear crawling.

Each machine needs to breathe clean air and exhale as efficiently as possible. YXZ’s high capacity intake system is equipped with a dual air filter, one viscous paper—for maximum airflow to the engine as well as long-lasting filtration for the dirtiest driving environments.

The YXZ1000R SS SE offers superior braking control thanks to twin-piston calipers clamping a large 255mm rotor at the front and a 245mm rotor at the back for excellent braking power, feel, and fade resistance. An automotive-style parking brake lever is installed in the center console of the cab.

The YXZ1000R SS SE cabin features luxurious seats and a high back with extra lateral support and outer shoulder roll, and the cockpit provides a balance of driving confidence with comfort.
